That, or she planned on abducting a suitor.

I see she already knows the ropes….
Someone came prepared with a rope under her skirt. No food, no practical clothing, no weapons, but at least she is ready to rappel down the wall.
A lady is always prepared for any eventuality. Because sometimes you have to bring your own rope.
Maybe she had both options as contingency plans? If there were any suitable candidates, she could use the rope to abduct them, otherwise, she could use it to escape. Worth having the rope either way!
